SUSTAINABILITY AND ETHICS IN BUSINESS

Course Objectives: By the end of the class, students will be able to (1) demonstrate familiarity with fundamental business and management concepts; (2) critically assess different aspects of sustainability and its intersection with business, (3) develop their ability to support their arguments clearly and concisely in written form

Course Content: In this course, students will be introduced to fundamental concepts in modern management from an ethics and sustainability perspective. The course will highlight the impact of business on the environment, introduce the role of managers in ethical business practices, offer new perspectives on the question of sustainable marketing, present trenchant dilemmas concerning organizations, and discuss the responsibility of individuals as participants in the world of business and management.
