Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course the student should be able to: 1. Develop a basic understanding of audio and sound technologies 2. Develop skills in music recording and audio processing 3. Develop critical listening and analyse recordings for a better hearing experience. 4. They will be able to use basic sound processing techniques. 5.

They will learn how a musician should prepare for recording session.

Course Content:

This course will cover topics such as room acoustics, digital audio workstations, ear and hearing, microphones, recording, mixing and audio production in general. The course will also point on audio recording history, understanding the sound and the computer-based processing technologies.
