Electromagnetic Waves and Art

Course Objectives:

1) Learning the electromagnetic waves and related phenomena

2) Building the connection between optics and coloring

3) Discussing the contemporary art and phography

Course Content:

The preliminary purpose of this course is to understand the visible light that covers a part of the electromagnetic wave and to explain it with the quantum concept of light. From this point of view, it is important to show the colors, that is, the Electromagnetic Wave spectrum, which are the most important element of art. Thus, the other aim of the course is to look at the evolution of art historically. In this sense, the journey from cave art to the present day, where contemporary art will be explained. Of course, the art of photography will also be historically presented. While doing these, the fractal structure of nature must be given so that land art can be understood, and the time series behavior of music can be learned.
